The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
So let’s get that out of the way first.
You can follow the links below to view the content pieces and verify my claim.
Source = Webinar (100 participants)
- Recording of the webinar= 148 views
- Blog post based on the session= 6,491 views
- SlideShare based on the post: 81,466 views
- Total Views= 88,205 (and counting )
So, now that we have that out of our way, here’s how it happened.
The key is in re-purposing your golden content. It’s is one of the main techniques we use at NEN to generate quality content for the Entrepreneur Academy blog.
In this case we started with a webinar. We saw the participants asking lot of questions and sharing experiences at the end of the webinar. We knew we had a winner here.
Once the webinar is over, we shared the recordings for anyone who missed it.
After a few days, we converted the content of the session into a blog post.
This is where the magic started to happen. The post got thousands of views and a fair amount of Social Shares.
Next, we created a SlideShare out of this blog post.
A good SlideShare presentation has immense potential of going viral. In this case, we were featured on the home page, and the presentation has delivered 81K+ views so far.
So as you can see, with this one trick we were able to attract 88,000+ views with a single piece of source content and counting.
Let me emphasize that this is not a one hit wonder.
This technique has been a key element of our traffic building strategy.
Re-purposing combined with some other techniques have enabled us to go from zero to near a million views in just over a year.
I will share those techniques in my upcoming posts.
